Evelyn M. Henley passed away January 19, 2010 at Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital from natural causes. Born in West Fenwick, England on April 9, 1917 she settled in San Andreas in 1956. She was a charter member of the Calaveras High School Quarterback Club and the native daughters in Jenny Lind. She was a true Brittan to the end. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband James Henley and her daughter Audrey Root. She is survived by her son Chris Henley of San Andreas; 11 siblings all from England; four grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A memorial service is planned at San Andreas Memorial Chapel on February 13, 2010 at 10 a.m. A private inurnment will take place at Peoples Cemetery.
