Timothy "Tim" Snavely passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010 in Plymouth at the age of 41 years. Tim was born November 25, 1968 to William and Doretha (Whitaker) Snavely in Jackson. Tim was raised in Plymouth and graduated from Amador High School in 1986. In 1991 he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany where he fought during Desert Storm. Tim was honorably discharged in 1994 and moved to Grass Valley to be near his mom. He worked at Peaceful Valley for a few years before returning to Plymouth to care for his father who was fighting cancer. Throughout Tim's life he loved the outdoors; camping, fishing and all sports; he played football, wrestling, cross-country and baseball in high school. Recently he took up the game of golf and had became quite good at it. Tim will be genuinely missed by not only his family but also the many friends he made during his life, "He was one of the good guys".
Tim is survived by his parents, Bill Snavely of Plymouth, Maxine Snavely of Grass Valley; brothers, Michael Snavely of Montana, Robert Snavely of Plymouth, Rickey Snavely of Florida; sister, Debra Ivie of Plymouth and his son, Austin Rickey Snavely of Germany.
Friends are invited to attend a visitation, Friday, February 5, 2010, 10:00 – 12:30 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson. A graveside service will be held this same day at 1:30 P.M. at Plymouth City Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
