December 31, 1946 - January 12, 2010
Donald David Trent, known to his friends as Don, has passed away on January 12, 2010 in Palo Alto, CA, with his family by his side. He was born on December 31, 1946 in Yakima, WA. He was drafted in the Army at the age of 20, from 1966 to 1968, and was sent to serve his time in Germany and Amsterdam.

He finished his 2 years of army duty, and returned home to Washington. He later moved to the bay area with his brothers, and was introduced to his future wife Christina Trent, by his brother, Darrol. Christina and Donald were married on July 12, 1969 & moved to Newark, CA. On October 13, 1969, they had a daughter named, Leah Ann, and 12 years followed, and on June 18, 1981 they had a second daughter named, Dawn Christina. Donald and Christina moved up to Amador County from Fremont, CA during the summer of 1990. They made their life in the county for years. Donald retired at the age of 57, bought a Harley, and moved up to Oregon, to be closer to his brothers and sisters, and enjoy his retirement. He loved to go to on Poker Runs, or just ride the highway with his friends, and sisters. He loved blues, and enjoyed going to the Sonora, Sutter Creek, and Father's Day Blues Festivals with his daughter, Dawn. He enjoyed golfing, and would shake his head, and smile when he saw his daughters trying to tee off, and score a Par 20 on a Par 4. Sadly, his life was cut way too short. He will be missed dearly. His daughters, friends, and family will always miss his sweet, charming smile, his charismatic, witty, funny, and sarcastic attitude. Especially, that kind heart of his, and those baby blues. He was such a loving, father, friend, and husband. The world will be forever sad without him.

Donald is survived by Christina Trent, his daughters Leah Smith of San Jose, Dawn Trent of Jackson, his brother Doug Trent of The Dalles, OR., his sisters Sherrol Trent of White Salmon, WA., Wilma Odle of White Salmon, WA., Pamela Nodland of La Pine, OR., Esther Crowell of Redmond, OR., and Norma Tibbetts of Spokane, WA.

He was preceded in death by his brother Charles, his father Floyd, his sister Sarah, his brother Darrol, his mother Sylvia, and his sister Pat. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Cody, Trevor, and Ryann, and his 24 nieces and nephews in Oregon, California, and Washington. Inurnment will be private, and will be held in Washington.
