 Norene Forbes Morrow passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 in Lakewood, Colorado at the age of 97 years. She was born October 3, 1912 to Claude and Bernice (Ray) Forbes in Ione, California. Norene attended local schools and graduated from Ione High School. She married Rufus Bell Morrow on April 12, 1936 in Jackson. Norene worked 50 years for the phone company and enjoyed retirement by cooking and caring for her family. Before moving to Colorado she made Sutter Creek her home for 75 years. Norene was a 50 year member of both the Eastern Star and Native Daughters of the Golden West.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith Rae Post; granddaughter, Erin E. Perrin and husband, Greg; great-granddaughter, Peyton Rae Perrin all of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus in 1998, and her twin sister, Claudine Hughes.
At the family's request there will be no public services. Interment was in the Garden of Golden Memories at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson. Condolences may be made to the family, via e-mail, at condolences@danerimortuary.com
