 Nathilla Johnson passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at her home in Jackson at the age of 74 years. She was born June 10, 1936 to Carl and Louise (Wise) Edwards in Rollers Ridge, Arkansas. Nathilla was raised in Missouri and moved to California in 1965, settling in the Rancho Cordova area. She was active in her community at Vintage Oaks in Sacramento. Nathilla enjoyed sewing, cooking, was very friendly, never without a smile on her face and possessed a great sense of humor. She loved the Lord, her family and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Terry Bunch of Magalia, CA; daughters, Priscilla Kaufman of Rio Linda, CA, Pattie Peyton and husband, Tom of Jackson, CA; sisters, Eleanor Popejoy, Ruth Von Houden; brothers Bud Edwards, Jack Edwards; grandchildren, Joey, Tracy, Powers, and Stevie Bunch, Chas McCoy, Samuel and Celine Dickison, Erik and Breanna Peyton; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Alayna, Vinnie, and Jayda. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Edwards and grandson, Vincent Bunch.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service Sunday, Aug. 15 at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Fellowship, 8040 South Highway 49 in Jackson, CA. Private inurnment will be in the Garden of Valor at Sunset View Cemetery in Jackson, CA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Amador and Calaveras Counties, P.O.
